Member of: Supply Chain
Hours of Work: Core hours are Monday to Thursday 07:30-16:15 Friday 07:00 to 15:30 with 30-minute lunch break. Business requirements mean that these need to be flexible in line with business requirements.

Within this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient receipt, storage and delivery of goods into and throughout the Company. This is a key position which feeds into the business operations and supports the customer demands.
Main Responsibilities:
- Following H&S guidelines, ensuring a safety-first culture.
- Receiving of parts into the business being the interface for suppliers through the goods in process.
- Checking and verifying goods received and notifying purchasing of any discrepancies.
- Accurate placing of parts into the storage facility.
- Picking of parts in both single items and into kits, ensuring presentation of parts represent Singer.
- Delivery and collection of parts, ensuring there are protected at all times.
- Transfer parts between stock locations in a controlled manner.
- Using a barcode stock control system with zero errors.
- Bag and label parts as required ensuring that all parts are protected adequately with the correct packaging and placed safely on the trolley with a manifest.
- Preparing parts for delivery to clients, other locations ensuring the presentation represents Singer.
- Ability to work to and maintain KPIs.
- Performing audits and resolving or escalating any issues requiring investigation.
- Liaising with the wider business and being the face of the warehouse team.
- Ensuring a professional approach is taken at all times.
- Expected to investigate issues and elevate to the Team Leader.
- Complete shortage reports.
Personal Specification:
- Be able to demonstrate ‘everything is important’ in everything you do.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
- Strong visual accuracy with ability to understand complex part numbers.
- Good IT with excellent Excel skills.
- Competent with Microsoft packages.
- Able to work with minimal instruction and the ability to take ownership.
- Thrives in fast paced, agile, environment, with the ability to prioritise own workload.
- Attention to detail ensuring issues are dealt with.
- Completion of tasks and ability to see things through.
- A strong team ethic with the ability to interact with all levels across the business including clients.
- Have a drive to seek continuous improvement.
- Maintain a positive attitude and level head.
- To comply with all company policies and procedures.
Experience Required:
- Experience of working within a warehouse environment.
- Automotive manufacturing product knowledge or experience is desirable.
- A Forklift Licence would be advantageous.
- Computer literate and experience of working with warehouse management systems.
