A great opportunity has opened up within the busy Quality Department. We need someone skilled in scientific testing, data analysis, and reporting. If you have an interest in robots, working in a tight team and producing high quality work, then this may be the role for you.
The Quality department fulfils an important function for Singers. We are responsible for setting quality policy and assuring the quality of our products for our Customers. We ensure every product we ship to our Customers meets our exacting standards of performance.
Conducting quality control testing is just one of the core activities of the QC Technician. In addition, you will be jointly responsible for preparing test samples, maintaining equipment and providing test reports. You’ll also contribute to R&D projects to help develop our future products.
The Quality Dept provides a comprehensive training program that covers a wide syllabus of quality focused subjects. The aim is to equip QC Technicians for the work they do and to ultimately develop them into quality subject matter experts, if desired. This opens up a clear pathway to pursue suitable opportunities either inside or outside of the Dept.
You’ll be joining a small dedicated team working alongside another QC Technician, QC Supervisor and the Quality Manager.

Principal responsibilities of the role:
- Quality testing of Singer products.
- Preparation of quality control (QC) reports.
- Communicating test results.
- Working to overcome any quality issues with other department stakeholders.
- Laboratory work for preparing biological test samples.
- Maintaining QC test equipment and test kit content.
- Maintaining quality data for statistical control and reporting.
- Maintaining quality controlled documentation.
- Assisting with the continued development of the Quality Management System (QMS) such as test & equipment or process improvement.
