As we grow, we're looking for an experienced New Product Introduction (NPI) Analyst to join our team and support our “Everything Is Important” culture. Job Summary Under direct leadership, the NPI Analyst plans, monitors, and achieves new product development goals set forth by the Global Supply management team. Supports new product development as it relates to purchasing activities for systems and parts ranging creating and reporting out supply chain metrics, program planning and project management. Tracks and effectively communicates timelines associated with any issues that arise during the new product development process they are managing. Works closely with engineering and other key stakeholders to ease the process of acquiring materials and/or services that ensure on time delivery of new product introduction within the company’s budget in a manner that demonstrates, “Everything is Important.” This role will also backup a development buyer approximately 25% of the time so purchasing knowledge and experience as well as supplier relationship and negotiation skills are vital to this role. Key Responsibilities: Develops and executes supply chain project plans for assigned new product development projects. Works in a cross-functional team environment as a strong team player and demonstrates ability to work with other functional groups to achieve company-wide goals. Solves complex problems and identifies innovative solutions related to supplier issues and purchased components. Works with Commodity Managers and Buyers to oversee supplier selection and supplier performance to achieve program milestones and customer requirements. Creates and maintains metrics related to program health and material readiness. Communicates program achievements, progress, risks and metrics to senior leadership. Assesses supplier related risk and proactively manages risk and escalates when necessary. Works closely with sourcing/procurement, and NPD project teams to ensure alignment and execution of sourcing activities that support sustainable results. Supports issuing RFI, RFP, RFQ, PO placement and other purchasing activities as needed. Ensures compliance to Singer’s procurement rules, regulations and policies. May purchase goods and services for Singer. Evaluates proposals for price, reliability, quality, technical support and availability of goods and services to ensure lowest total cost of ownership. Presents data in effective manner to drive good business decisions and influence program outcomes. Manages advanced special projects as required such as development builds, transfer of work, cost reduction initiatives and industrialization. Capable of leading project and program meetings with leadership and other key stakeholders. Performs other duties as assigned.
