We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to join our Middleware Application team. Reporting to the Section Lead, the incumbent focuses on connecting disparate software systems, applications, hardware, and data sources so they work together seamlessly. The incumbent bridges gaps between isolated components whether internal systems within the company, third‑party/partner services, cloud platforms, or legacy and modern tech stacks to enable data flow, interoperability, and unified functionality.

What You'll Do:

  • You will build connections using APIs (REST, SOAP, etc), middleware, message queues or integration platforms.
  • You will review system requirements, infrastructure, data formats, and protocols.
  • You will perform ETL‑like tasks, format conversions, enrichment, and ensuring data consistency/quality across systems.
  • You will implement retry mechanisms, logging, monitoring, alerting, and fault‑tolerant designs for high availability.
  • You will optimize for high throughput, low latency, and handle spikes in enterprise environments.
  • You will perform integration testing, diagnose issues (e.g., compatibility, performance, security), and ensure reliability/scalability.
  • You will work with stakeholders, other engineers, DevOps, QA, and external vendors or partners to ensure integrations meet business needs.
  • You will monitor integrated systems, handle updates/patches, automate processes, and improve performance or security.
  • You will create integration docs, ensure adherence to standards (e.g., security, data privacy), and support deployment/release management.

Who You Are:

  • You have a Degree in Computer Science / Engineering, Information Science or related IT Discipline.
  • You should have at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • You have strong proficiency in languages like Java, Python, JavaScript, or scripting.
  • You have extensive experience in integration technologies, such as APIs, web services, microservices, database, cloud platform, tools like Jenkins, Git, and middleware (e.g., enterprise service bus, API Management/Gateways).
  • You have knowledge of networking protocols, security (OAuth, encryption), Linux/Unix, containerization, and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka).
  • You have strong communication (for example, explaining complex technical concepts) and problem‑solving abilities, and analytical thinking.
