This is a contract/temporary role suited for someone who enjoys turning ideas, events and information into engaging content across different formats.
The Role
You will focus primarily on content creation and publishing, helping SHRI maintain an active, relevant and consistent presence across our digital platforms.
Working with the Marketing & Communications team and other internal teams, you will translate programmes, events, industry developments and organisational updates into content that connects with HR professionals, business leaders, members and the wider community.
This is a hands‑on execution role. You should be comfortable writing, designing simple content, producing short‑form videos and managing multiple pieces of content at different stages of production.
What You Will Do
Content Creation
- Create engaging content for SHRI's digital platforms, including LinkedIn, social media, website and email communications.
- Write and adapt copy for social media posts, EDMs, website pages, event promotions and other digital content.
- Develop content in different formats, including static posts, carousels, short‑form videos, event highlights and simple graphics.
- Turn information from programmes, events, speakers and internal stakeholders into clear and audience‑friendly content.
- Repurpose existing materials into different content formats to extend their reach and lifespan.
- Support the development of thought leadership and community‑focused content for SHRI's platforms.
- Produce timely content around SHRI events, including pre‑event promotions, on‑site content and post‑event highlights.
Visual & Video Content
- Create simple digital artwork and social media assets using tools such as Canva or equivalent platforms.
- Capture and edit basic photos and short‑form videos for social media and digital use.
- Develop reels, interview clips, event highlights and other short‑form video content.
- Ensure content and visuals are consistent with SHRI's brand guidelines and tone of voice.
AI-Assisted Content Production
- Use generative AI and digital tools appropriately to support ideation, copy development, visual creation, editing and content repurposing.
- Experiment with new content formats and tools that can improve the speed and quality of content production.
- Apply good judgement when using AI‑generated content, ensuring outputs are accurate, appropriate and aligned with SHRI's brand.
What We Are Looking For
- Diploma or degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, Mass Communications or a related field.
- Relevant experience in content creation, social media, digital marketing or communications. Fresh graduates with a strong portfolio may also be considered.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt content for different audiences and platforms.
- Comfortable creating both written and visual content.
- Familiarity with Canva or similar design tools.
- Basic photography and video shooting/editing capabilities.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn.
- Comfortable using generative AI tools as part of the content creation process.
- Creative, curious and able to generate content ideas rather than waiting for detailed instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and able to manage multiple content deadlines.
- Able to work independently while collaborating closely with different teams.
What Would Make You Stand Out
- A portfolio demonstrating social media, video, design or digital content work.
- Experience creating content for professional, corporate or B2B audiences.
- Strong short‑form video and visual storytelling skills.
