The Team: Beaconsfield District Health Service is a rural multipurpose service providing a broad range of services to our local community, including residential aged care, sub-acute care, community nursing, allied health, home care and Day centre programs. Our multidisciplinary team is committed to delivering safe, person-centred care in a supportive and collaborative environment. The Role: As a Registered Nurse, you will provide safe, evidence-based and person-centred care to residents, inpatients and community clients within a rural multipurpose service. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver high quality clinical care while promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing. You will contribute to a positive team culture, support continuous quality improvement and participate in maintaining a safe environment for consumers, visitors and colleagues.

You will need:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing assessment, planning and evaluation in accordance with professional standards and organisational policies.
  • Work collaboratively with residents, patients, families and the multidisciplinary team to achieve the best possible health outcomes.
  • Demonstrate effective communication, sound clinical judgement, and a commitment to continuous learning and flexibility.

Details of appointment: Fixed term, casual position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 24 months. Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. Access to the Grade 4 salary range $102,439- $109,175 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.
  • Salary Packaging: You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
  • Rural Professional Development Allowance of an additional salary allowance of 4%.

Benefits available to eligible candidates include professional development and accelerated pathways, a range of leave entitlements, including study leave and Professional Development Support, and Fitness Passport – you and your family can access 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $14.50 per week per person, or $28.05 for a family.
