Key duties involve:
- Preparing, establishing, and managing fine turf (Cricket wicket, lawn bowls greens), grassed areas of the Padang, and synthetic surfaces used for all sports.
- Identifying and treating pests and diseases on plants, including the use of growth regulators and other chemicals.
- Maintaining the Sports field and other grassed areas by fertilising, trimming, and ensuring adequate watering.
- Using machinery, fertilisers, and/or chemicals for maintenance of the Sports field and other grassed areas as well as synthetic surfaces.
- Assisting in the organisation of logistics for events at the Sports field.
- Ensuring proper maintenance of all equipment and machinery.
- Sweeping the car park and surrounding grounds to keep them clean and tidy.
- Performing any other duties as organised by the Head Groundsman or required by Management or designated officers.
Requirements include a good attitude, ability to work outdoors, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to undertake manual and heavy work. Proficiency in speaking and understanding English is also necessary.
