Support the development and lead the execution of integrated communications strategies to strengthen brand positioning, stakeholder engagement, and public awareness of SCWO’s advocacy, programmes and impact. This role ensures message consistency across all channels while positioning the Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations as a credible and authoritative voice advancing gender equality. In line with SCWO’s mission to serve women and its member organisations through advocacy, collaboration and the provision of critical services, this role also supports the organisation’s vision of driving equal space, voice, and worth for women in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communications
    • Support the development and delivery of brand and content strategy that promotes SCWO’s mission, vision, and values to key audiences and ensuring consistency across all platforms, materials and communications.
    • Execute communications plans to support SCWO’s programmes, events and campaigns.
    • Develop content across platforms including social media, EDMs, website and print materials.
    • Ensure consistency in messaging, tone and branding across all communications outputs.
    • Adapt messaging for different audiences, including media, partners and the public.
  • Branding & Design
    • Apply SCWO brand guidelines across all communications materials.
    • Maintain consistency in visual communications.
    • Develop and design visual and multimedia content, including graphics and short‑form and long‑form videos for digital platforms, campaigns and events.
    • Adapt and produce design assets across multiple formats (social media, EDMs, reports, event materials) to meet ongoing communications needs.
    • Provide creative direction for visual and multimedia content across communications outputs.
  • Digital & Social Media
    • Manage SCWO’s social media platforms, including content planning and posting.
    • Optimise content based on performance insights and platform trends.
    • Develop content calendars aligned with key campaigns and initiatives.
    • Monitor engagement and performance.
  • Campaign & Events
    • Execute communications for key programmes, services and initiatives such as SAGE, Star Shelter, fundraising campaigns, and organisational events.
    • Coordinate content and messaging across pre‑event, live, and post‑event phases.
    • Work with internal teams to align communications with programme objectives.
  • Publications & Corporate Materials
    • Coordinate the development of publications such as the Annual Report, Corporate Brochures, Outreach Collateral and other organisational materials.
    • Compile and present programme data and impact stories.
    • Ensure clarity and consistency in corporate communications outputs.
  • Media & Public Relations
    • Coordinate media requests, interviews and coverage opportunities.
    • Support media outreach and follow‑ups with journalists.
    • Coordinate and manage PR agencies, media retainers, and external vendors to support media outreach and communications delivery.
  • Internal Coordination
    • Liaise with internal teams to gather information for communications needs.
    • Provide guidance on messaging and content where required.
    • Ensure timely delivery of communications materials across departments.
    • Coordinate and support Communications Committee engagements, including preparing materials, facilitating discussions, and incorporating stakeholder feedback into communications outputs and planning.
    • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, to seek approvals and ensure alignment for communications materials and media engagements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Communications, Business, Design, Journalism, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in marketing communications, preferably in a fast‑paced or multi‑stakeholder environment.
  • Strong creative sense with a good eye for design, layout, and visual storytelling across digital platforms.
  • Confident in developing marketing assets (e.g., social media content, presentations, simple videos) using tools such as Canva and Adobe Photoshop or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with video editing and content creation.
  • Applicants with a portfolio of relevant design and content work (e.g., Canva projects, social media creatives, videos, presentations) will be viewed favourably.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining quality and timelines.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines with a high level of accountability.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and execution skills.
  • Meticulous, results‑driven, and a collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear and compelling content.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and able to work both independently and within cross‑functional teams.
