LegalTech GoWhere is a joint initiative between the Ministry of Law and Singapore Academy of Law. It is a platform to connect the LegalTech ecosystem, bridge real-world demand with innovation, and spotlight Singapore’s thought leadership in legal technology. This initiative aims to catalyse a thriving LegalTech ecosystem in Singapore, supporting law firms and legal teams in confidently adopting technology while positioning Singapore as Asia’s leading hub for legal innovation.
The Assistant Manager will be the operational backbone of the LegalTech GoWhere initiative, ensuring flawless execution of all community touch-points and events. This role combines event management expertise with community engagement skills to create memorable experiences that strengthen Singapore’s LegalTech ecosystem. Employed by the Singapore Academy of Law (SAL), this role will work in a highly collaborative capacity with the Ministry of Law, taking direction from both organisations to ensure the success of the initiative.
Key Responsibilities- Event Planning & Execution
- Plan and execute monthly in-person events including open houses, speed networking sessions, and panel discussions.
- Coordinate logistics for bi-monthly curated dinners with industry leaders.
- Manage venue bookings, catering, AV requirements, and guest registration systems.
- Oversee event set-up, execution, and post-event follow-up activities.
- Maintain the event calendar and coordinate with speakers, sponsors, and partners.
- Community Management & Engagement
- Manage day-to-day community engagement across digital platforms (LinkedIn, LUMA, with potential expansion to Instagram/TikTok/etc.).
- Create and schedule regular social media posts to promote events, highlight community members, and share industry insights.
- Respond to community enquiries and facilitate introductions between members.
- Monitor community feedback and compile insights for programme improvement.
- Coordinate cross-promotional activities with partner organisations.
- Administrative & Operational Support
- Maintain comprehensive databases of community members, partners, and stakeholders.
- Process event registrations, manage waitlists, and coordinate attendee communications.
- Prepare event materials including name badges, welcome packs, and promotional items.
- Manage programme budget tracking and vendor payments.
- Marketing & Communications Support
- Support social media content creation including graphics, videos, and written posts.
- Assist in newsletter production and distribution.
- Coordinate with external vendors for marketing materials and promotional items.
- Maintain programme website and event listings.
- Create and distribute post-event surveys and compile feedback reports.
- Research & Data Collection
- Support Legal Demand Survey distribution and follow-up.
- Assist in conducting pulse surveys and stakeholder interviews.
- Compile and organise research data for analysis.
- Maintain accurate records of event attendance and community engagement metrics.
- Prepare regular reports on community growth and engagement trends.
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
- 1-3 years’ experience in event coordination or community management.
- A self-starter with proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects and deadlines.
- Experience in legal professional services or technology environment is preferred.
