At Sing Education, we’re seeking a passionate musician with a degree in music or a related field who is eager to share the transformative power of music with the next generation.

Responsibilities

  • Weekly teaching, full school day – 8.45am to 3.30/4.30pm, term time
  • Permanent placement in a Sing Education primary school/s
  • Teach from 1 to 5 days per week
  • Deliver singing-led curricular whole-class music lessons – Nursery to Year 6 using Sing Education resources
  • Lead singing assemblies
  • Support choirs, lunchtime and after-school clubs

Qualifications

  • University graduate with a degree in music or a related field

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong vocal skills with the confidence to lead lessons and assemblies
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
  • Ability to conduct whole-class music lessons
  • Basic keyboard proficiency for classroom use
  • Understanding of the National Curriculum for music
  • Proficient with ICT and able to use online systems such as G Suite

Experience

  • Experience in classroom teaching or one-on-one instruction
  • Previous work with children or young people in a teaching or leadership role
