Weekly teaching, full school day - 8.45am-3.30/4.30pm, term time Permanent placement in a Sing Education primary school/s Teaching from 1 to 5 days per week Singing‑led curricular whole‑class music lessons - Nursery to Year 6 following Sing Education teaching resources Singing assemblies Choirs, lunchtime and after school clubs.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: University graduate with a degree in music or a related field.
  • Skills and Knowledge:
    • Strong vocal skills with the confidence to lead lessons and assemblies.
    • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
    • Capability to conduct whole‑class music lessons.
    • Basic keyboard proficiency for classroom use.
    • Understanding of the National Curriculum for music.
    • Proficient with ICT and able to use online systems such as G Suite.
  • Experience:
    • Experience in classroom teaching or one‑on‑one instruction.
    • Previous work with children or young people in a teaching or leadership role.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Passionate about inspiring a love for music in pupils.
    • Strong classroom management and disciplinary skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with both Sing Education and school teams.
    • Maintains appropriate confidentiality.
    • Possesses a sense of humour and can generate enthusiasm for music.
    • Highly organised with excellent communication skills.
    • Commitment to personal and professional development.

Benefits

  • Compensation: Full‑time Salary PA: £24,867 - £32,542 (for 5 days per week), based on a 5‑point progressive pay scale. Staff progress up the pay scale with each 12 months of service following a successful managerial supervision meeting. Initial pay is dependent on classroom music experience and weekly hours + pension.
  • 7 - 40 hours per week - 38 weeks per year + paid training.
  • No PGCE or QTS required.
