Responsibilities
- Weekly teaching, full school day – 8.45am‑3.30pm/4.30pm, term time
- Permanent placement in a Sing Education primary school or schools
- Teaching from 1 to 5 days per week
- Singing‑led curricular whole‑class music lessons – Nursery to Year 6 following Sing Education teaching resources
- Singing assemblies
- Choirs, lunchtime and after‑school clubs
Requirements
Qualifications
- University graduate with a degree in music or a related field
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong vocal skills with the confidence to lead lessons and assemblies
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
- Capability to conduct whole‑class music lessons
- Basic keyboard proficiency for classroom use
- Understanding of the National Curriculum for music
- Proficient with ICT and able to use online systems such as G Suite
Experience
- Experience in classroom teaching or one‑on‑one instruction
- Previous work with children or young people in a teaching or leadership role

Compensation
- Full‑time salary PA: £24,867 – £32,542 (for 5 days per week), based on a 5‑point progressive pay scale
- Staff progress up the pay scale with each 12 months of service following a successful managerial supervision meeting; initial pay is dependent on classroom music experience and weekly hours + pension
- 7 – 40 hours per week, 38 weeks per year + paid training
- No PGCE or QTS required
