Job Description

  • Weekly teaching, full school day – 8:45am‑3:30/4:30pm, term time
  • Permanent placement in a Sing Education primary school/s
  • Teaching from 1 to 5 days per week
  • Singing‑led curricular whole‑class music lessons – Nursery to Year 6 following Sing Education teaching resources
  • Choirs, lunchtime and after‑school clubs

Qualifications

  • University graduate with a degree in music or a related field.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong vocal skills with the confidence to lead lessons and assemblies.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Capability to conduct whole‑class music lessons.
  • Basic keyboard proficiency for classroom use.
  • Understanding of the National Curriculum for music.
  • Proficient with ICT and able to use online systems such as Google Workspace.

Experience

  • Experience in classroom teaching or one‑on‑one instruction.
  • Previous work with children or young people in a teaching or leadership role.

Compensation

Full‑time Salary PA: £24,867 – £32,542 (for 5 days per week), based on a 5‑point progressive pay scale. Staff progress up the pay scale with each 12 months of service following a successful supervisory meeting. Initial pay is dependent on classroom music experience and weekly hours + pension. 7 – 40 hours per week – 38 weeks per year + paid training.
