Sinclair Broadcast Group is seeking News Producers to join our team. This position will work closely with the Executive Producer, Director, Assignment Desk and Anchors on the newscast and its content.
Responsibilities:
- Determine the content and flow of newscasts.
- Work with management and on-air staff to generate and write stories and develop content for our website.
- Multitask and manage time to put together an exciting and informative newscast.
- Be a compelling and accurate writer.
- Work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
- Execute news strategies and goals in daily newscasts.
- Proficient with non-linear editing.
- Demonstrate flexibility and on-the-spot problem-solving abilities.
Qualifications:
- Solid news judgment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proficient with non-linear editing.
- Entry-level candidates with a degree in Journalism, Broadcast, or related fields may be considered in certain areas.
