Our Service Advisors play a vital part in delivering an exceptional experience for every service and repair customer. You’ll be the link between our workshop and our customers, ensuring communication is clear, accurate and always centred around trust and transparency.

Your day‑to‑day responsibilities include:

  • Customer service – greeting customers, understanding their needs, and keeping them updated throughout the service process.
  • Service bookings – managing workshop diary, scheduling work, and coordinating with technicians.
  • Upselling opportunities – identifying additional work and explaining benefits clearly and professionally.
  • Administration – preparing job cards, processing invoices and maintaining accurate records.
  • Communication – liaising with customers, technicians, and parts teams to ensure smooth workflow.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Service Advisor, Aftersales Advisor, or similar customer‑facing role.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a busy dealership environment.
  • Confident using computer systems and managing multiple tasks.
  • A positive, customer‑first attitude.
  • Automotive experience preferred; strong customer service background will be considered.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Experience in the motor industry is desirable, but not essential.

Position Details

  • Location: Volkswagen Van Centre Cardiff, part of Sinclair Group.
  • Full time: 42.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday 8:00am–5:30pm; Saturday rota 1 every 3 weeks 8:30am–12:30pm as overtime.
  • Base salary: £28,288.00 per year plus monthly bonus; bonus schemes OTE and discussable at interview.
  • Benefits: Competitive salary plus performance‑related bonus.
  • Annual leave: 30 days per year (including bank holidays) increased with length of service.
