Vehicle Technician/Mechanic - Jaguar Land Rover Newport

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, plus Saturday mornings on a rota basis
Salary: £28,000 - £45,000 OTE per annum, depending on experience

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to work with a premium manufacturer renowned for innovation, luxury, performance and cutting-edge technology. As part of our Jaguar Land Rover team, you'll play a key role in delivering the exceptional standards of workmanship and customer service that the brand is known for worldwide.
Working in a modern workshop environment, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and servicing Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles, using manufacturer-leading tools, equipment and training. You'll also carry out vehicle road testing, ensure parts are handled and stored correctly, and support the development of apprentices and junior technicians where required.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Hold an NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Repair, or equivalent qualification
- Have strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Be able to carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to a high standard
- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical information clearly
- Be committed to maintaining and developing your technical knowledge
- Be confident using diagnostic equipment and completing quality checks
- Work effectively as part of a team and support less experienced colleagues
Previous franchised retailer experience would be advantageous, and experience working with hybrid or electric vehicles would be beneficial.
