As the Workshop Controller you will work closely with the Service Manager in managing the Service Department to meet and exceed customer expectations, in addition to consistently meeting agreed business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Allocate work fairly, according to ability and skill, taking deadlines into consideration.
  • Maintain progress information of each job allocated and liaise with Service Advisors to ensure customers are kept informed.
  • Ensure job card write up and Vehicle Health Checks are completed in a way that is legible and informative for the Service Advisors and Customers.
  • Adhere to internal and manufacturer standards in regards to clocking on and off of jobs.
  • Ensure the recommended manufacturer labour time and the agreed internal/manufacturer labour rates are adhered to at all times, when charging manufacturing, retail, or internal customers.
  • Ensure all team attend and complete any internal or manufacturer training, ensuring the development of the service team to support improvement in technical ability, CSI and job performance.
  • Ensure completion of CIT NOW video for every vehicle getting a Vehicle Health Check and/or for any customer complaints, to provide evidence of repair as required.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team.
  • Excellent organisation and prioritising skills.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure.
  • Experience in this role isn't essential but would be beneficial.
  • A full valid UK Driving License.
  • Current experience as Workshop Controller or luxury dealership experience, and/or managed a large busy workshop.
  • Workshop supervision or management experience.
