Sinclair Group is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Trainee Sales Executive to join our successful team at Volkswagen Van Centre Swansea. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, has a passion for delivering excellent customer service, and wants to develop a long-term career within the motor industry. You do not need previous automotive sales experience, as full training and ongoing support will be provided. However, experience in a customer-facing sales role such as retail, mobile phones, furniture, hospitality, or similar would be advantageous.
As a Trainee Sales Executive, you will learn how to guide customers through the vehicle purchasing journey, helping them find the right vehicle and ensuring they receive an exceptional experience from enquiry through to delivery. You'll receive manufacturer and in-house training to develop your sales skills, product knowledge, and understanding of finance and insurance products.
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering outstanding customer service at every stage of the sales process
- Responding to customer enquiries in person, by telephone and online
- Building relationships with new and existing customers
- Learning about Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and associated products
- Identifying customer needs and recommending suitable vehicle solutions
- Promoting finance, insurance and additional products where appropriate
- Generating new business opportunities through prospecting and marketing activity
- Achieving individual sales and customer satisfaction targets
Experience and Skills Required:
- Experience working in a customer-focused sales environment
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A positive, professional and enthusiastic attitude
- Confidence using social media and digital communication platforms
- A desire to learn and develop a successful sales career
- Full UK driving licence
Working Hours: 5 day working week - which includes Saturdays on a rota basis. There will be a rota in place for early and late finishes each week to cover the showroom opening hours.
Salary: A guaranteed basic salary whilst training. A company vehicle will be offered once successfully completing training. As you develop and gain more experience, you can look forward to earning between £42k and £45k with uncapped earning potential. Full training will be given and you will be expected to attend courses to further your skills.
This role will ideally suit someone who comes from a retail sales background, and has a stable career history. Realistic earnings of £42,000 - £45,000+ once established, with uncapped commission potential.
