Overview
Facilities and Compliance Manager – RHS Garden Bridgewater, Salford, Greater Manchester M28 2LJ. Circa £35,000 per annum based on experience. The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) is seeking an exceptional Facilities and Compliance Manager to ensure provision of buildings, facilities and services that are safe, compliant and meet the needs of the RHS and its visitors. The post holder will work to a high professional standard to ensure regulatory compliance and continuity of business operations, providing subject matter expertise to a range of stakeholders at RHS Bridgewater.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for all planned and reactive maintenance, legislative and regulatory compliance, fire safety, and soft FM services including security, cleaning and waste provision.
- Lead and manage the Facilities team and oversee the annual budget.
- Provide subject matter expertise to stakeholders and ensure services meet RHS requirements and visitor needs.
Qualifications
- Extensive demonstrable knowledge of buildings/estate management for all associated hard and soft service provisions.
- A recognised qualification in facilities management, building trades or professional body (e.g. RICS/IWFM/CIBSE/CIOB).
- Experience of Building Management Systems.
- A recognised Health and Safety qualification (e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH General Certificate).
- Extensive proven experience of facilities and/or buildings management in a large and varied environment with knowledge of technical, cost and legislation matters applicable to property.
- Proven experience of managing a maintenance team effectively.
