Facilities and Compliance Manager* Circa £35,000 per annum based on experience* RHS Garden Bridgewater* Salford, Greater Manchester M28 2LJThe Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), the UK’s leading gardening charity inspiring everyone to grow, is looking for an exceptional Facilities and Compliance Manager at the new RHS Garden Bridgewater in Salford. The role has primary responsibility to ensure provision of buildings, facilities and services that are safe, compliant and that meet the needs of the RHS and its visitors. Working to high professional standard to ensure regulatory compliance and continuity of business operations, you will provide subject matter expertise to a range of stakeholders at RHS Bridgewater.Overview of the Role:The post holder will be responsible for all planned and reactive maintenance, legislative and regulatory compliance, fire safety, soft FM services including security, cleaning and waste provision, leading/managing the Facilities team and hold responsibility for the annual budget.The successful candidate will have:* Extensive demonstrable knowledge of buildings/estate management for all associated hard and soft service provisions.* A recognised qualification in facilities management, building trades or professional body i.e. RICS/IWFM/CIBSE/CIOB* Experience of Building Management Systems* A recognised Health and Safety qualification (e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH General Certificate)* Extensive proven experience of facilities and/or buildings management in a large and varied environment demonstrated by sound knowledge of technical, cost and legislation matters applicable to property.* Proven experience of managing a maintenance team effectively.About the RHS:To work for the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) is to join a thriving charity, whose mission is to inspire everyone to grow.
