We are seeking a Junior Interior Designer with a minimum of 1 - 2 years experience in the luxury residential and commercial sectors to work in our London studio. The ideal candidate will assist in working on all stages of a project within a team and under the direction of senior designers. You will share our fastidious attention to detail from concept to completion of a project as well as having a good understanding and respect for the Sims Hilditch design vision and aesthetic. With a natural flair for interiors and knowledge of the industry, in this role you will help the team to deliver outstanding results for our clients.

What we’re looking for
- Deliver creative design projects, as part of a flexible team.
- Translate design concepts into detailed presentations and supporting documentation.
- Support interior architecture team with plans, elevation, 3D modelling and scheduling.
- Accompany senior team members to site visits and client presentations.
- Provide admin support to the team, typing minutes, liaising with suppliers and inputting data.
- Support procurement managers in organising samples and assisting on installations.
- Support the business in its day-to-day functions and providing telephone support.
- Build supplier relationships and look for creative and sustainable new approaches.
- Assist our design librarian with maintaining a full and well organised sample library.
- Assist the FF&E team with sourcing furniture, fabrics and developing bespoke furniture drawings.
Experience & Qualifications
- Ability to work well under pressure, prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Flexible and open attitude to new ways of working.
- Self-motivated, pro-active with ability to take initiative.
- Good team player, both assisting and supporting team members.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- AutoCAD, In Design, PhotoShop, Sketchup, Microsoft Office, Free-hand sketching, procurement software is beneficial but not essential.
- Full, clean UK Driving Licence.
- Ideally 1 – 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
