The Role
We are seeking a motivated Employment Case Handler to join our dedicated Employment team. The successful candidate will provide expert advice and representation exclusively for union members and individual employees.
We are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated individual to join our team, with experience in Employment Tribunal proceedings.
The successful candidate will provide legal advice, prepare and manage cases, and support members in employment-related disputes, ensuring they receive high-quality legal representation and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising and assisting members with employment law matters.
- Preparing, managing and progressing Employment Tribunal claims.
- Representing clients at tribunal hearings, where appropriately qualified and authorised.
- Preparing witness statements, legal submissions and case documentation.
- Handling cases involving unfair dismissal, discrimination, victimisation and other employment-related disputes.
- Managing a caseload effectively and meeting deadlines.
- Experience in Employment Tribunal work.
- A good understanding of employment law
- Strong case preparation, analytical and communication skills.
- The ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently.
- A commitment to protecting workers’ rights and supporting trade union members.
