Simpsons Malt is one of the UK\’s biggest malting companies with 150+ years of successful supply to brewers and distillers with a customer range from the smallest craft and microbrewers to multi-nationals in the UK and around the world, and we are now proudly B-Corp accredited.
Some exciting opportunities have arisen to join us for the harvest season, between the period from July to October. We are looking to employ keen people to help us perform pre harvest preparation and assist with intake during the harvest period. Basic job details are as follows:
Plant Operators
7am-7pm & 7pm-7am – This includes weekend work.
Accountability for operating a Drying Plant on site.
Ensuring barley is conditioned correctly.
Responsibility for upkeep of the Plant.
Key requirements:
Flexibility with working hours.
Basic computer skills, especially when programming equipment and ensuring machine controls are set correctly.
Reliable and self-motivated.
Good team player.
Strong communication skills.
Be able to work without supervision.
