The predicted salary is between 20000 - 25000 £ per year.

Hours required are variable (typically 8am-4.30pm Monday-Friday initially and moving to 7am-6pm/7pm Monday-Friday and possibly 7am-2pm Saturday at the busiest times) during harvest preparation/training but moving to 12 hour shifts at the busiest times. Night shift may be required.

Laboratory Technicians:

  • Weighing vehicles in and out of site.
  • Visual examination of grain from viewing platform.
  • Testing of grain using various pieces of laboratory equipment.
  • Recording of results.
  • Inputting results into computer spreadsheets and databases.
  • Manual sampling of grain stored in sheds.

Key requirements:

  • Flexibility with working hours.
  • Basic computer skills for Laboratory / Weighbridge role.
  • Reliable and self-motivated.
  • Good team player.
  • Be able to work without supervision.

You would gain some valuable experience of a busy working environment with involvement in risk assessments and standard operating procedures. On-site parking.
