Description/Job Summary
We are seeking a highly-talented, proactive, detailed-oriented BD Coordinator to join our London-based BD team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early on in their career to gain hands-on experience supporting a broad range of business development and marketing activities.
Working as part of a collaborative team, the BD Coordinator will provide essential support across pitch preparation, legal directories, events and client communications.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Support the Business Development team with the development and maintenance of promotional marketing materials, CVs and capability statements to ensure they reflect the Firm’s latest experience
- Assist in the preparation of credentials, deal summaries, and partner bios for pitches and proposals
- Contribute to client targeting, including relationship mapping
- Support the maintenance of client mailing lists and contact databases
- Assist the BD team with submissions for legal directories such as Chambers and Legal 500 – formatting templates, gathering information and tracking timelines
- Help with the coordination of client-facing events – assist with logistics, guest management, follow-up and reporting
- Provide general support to the BD team, including updating trackers and assisting with ad hoc projects
- Perform other duties as required
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years business development experience, ideally in a law firm, professional services or financial services environment
- Strong MS Outlook skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a highly competitive and demanding environment
- Strong attention to detail and self-motivated to produce accurate, timely and complete work product
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent research and analytical skills
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Strong interpersonal skills and confidence dealing with stakeholders at all levels
- Hardworking and dedicated and always carries out tasks with care and perseverance
- Must be resilient, remain calm under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Be client focused with a can-do approach
