We are seeking an experienced AML specialist to support our Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) and financial crime compliance team. Working across our European and Asian offices, this role offers exposure to cross‑border compliance operations and collaboration with partners, finance teams, and global Risk & Compliance leadership. The AML Supervisor will support the AML Manager in leading the AML team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing daily AML workflow, supporting enhancements to our AML platform (including Omnitrack), and ensuring consistent application of AML/CTF controls.
- Managing the firm’s AML workflow to ensure timely and accurate client and matter onboarding.
- Overseeing and monitoring the AML team mailbox, ensuring inquiries and requests are triaged and resolved efficiently.
- Maintaining and updating client and matter trackers weekly.
- Monitoring daily AML‑related tasks, including reviewing AML diary reports from Finance and ongoing monitoring alerts (including Xapien) and escalating issues where appropriate.
Systems & Process Enhancement:
- Supporting enhancements and updates to the firm’s AML platform (including Omnitrack) to reflect evolving regulatory and business requirements.
- Assisting in implementing process improvements to strengthen efficiency, accuracy, and audit readiness.
- Contributing to policy implementation and documentation updates.
Escalations & Stakeholder Support:
- Serving as a first point of contact for billing‑related AML queries from London and Hong Kong finance teams.
- Acting as an escalation point for analysts regarding matter and timekeeper record queries (including Elite 3E).
- Supporting the AML Manager with research, issue resolution, and regulatory interpretation.
Compliance & Risk Support:
- Conducting AML/KYC and due diligence reviews as required.
- Assisting with ongoing monitoring and screening processes.
- Supporting broader compliance initiatives and ad‑hoc regulatory projects as needed.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required (strong academic record preferred).
- Law degree or LPC desirable but not required.
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience as an AML senior analyst, ideally within an international law firm or professional services environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of AML/CTF regulations and financial crime risks relevant to legal services.
- Experience with AML/KYC systems, due diligence platforms, and monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with financial systems such as Elite 3E preferred.
- AML or compliance certification desirable but not essential.
