Our client is part of a multi-billion euro global manufacturing business. They are currently seeking an experienced Team Leader to take ownership for a production area within its clean manufacturing facility in Halesowen (B62). This is a hands-on leadership role with real accountability, you will be responsible for a team of ten operators and assemblers, driving performance across quality, cost, delivery and safety. The business operates to a continuous improvement culture and expects its Team Leaders to lead from the front, develop their people and maintain high standards day in, day out.
What you will do:
- Lead your team to meet daily and weekly production targets in line with the manufacturing plan, taking full accountability for quality, output and housekeeping standards.
- Manage attendance, performance and timekeeping, conducting absence reviews and addressing issues promptly.
- Schedule production activity and coordinate rough stock delivery in line with the production plan.
- Coach, mentor and develop team members fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Liaise with internal functions including quality, engineering, planning and stores to resolve issues and maintain workflow.
- Champion a zero-incident safety culture across your area.
What you will bring:
- Minimum three to five years' experience leading people in a manufacturing or production environment.
- NVQ Level 4 in management or equivalent qualification.
- Working knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities on the shop-floor.
- A direct, confident communication style and the credibility to hold people to account.
