We’re looking for a Legal Risk Assessor to join our high-performing Success Team, helping us shape the quality of cases we onboard and the client experience from day one. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified legal professional with strong clinical negligence experience, preferably a qualified Solicitor with around four years of post-qualification experience (PQE) who thrives on making informed decisions, supporting colleagues, and playing a key role in connecting clients with the legal expertise they need.
- Reviewing referred and self-accepted legal enquiries to assess case success potential
- Ensuring each case aligns with Simpson Millar’s risk appetite and onboarding criteria
- Coaching and guiding our Contact Centre Senior Advisors to improve case quality and consistency
- Acting as a key point of contact between the Contact Centre and legal practice areas
- Contributing to process improvements and identifying commercial trends or opportunities
Legal qualification or equivalent experience in a law firm or legal services environment
- Strong decision-making skills with a keen eye for detail and risk
- Previous experience coaching or developing colleagues
- A commercial mindset with the ability to balance client care, revenue, and business goals
- Strong IT and analytical skills, including case management systems and data manipulation
Salary: Up to £40K + Annual Bonus + Excellent Benefits; 27 days leave, option to purchase up to 5 days more, flexible working, achievable annual bonus, 4 x death in service (which we hope you’d never have to claim) sick pay, 4% company pension contribution, EAP, retail rewards benefits and staff discounts across legal functions.
