Job Title: Solicitor – EL/PL- RTA Location: Northwest (Manchester, Liverpool or Leeds) Salary: Completive plus an on-target bonus Benefits: 27 days holiday plus bank holidays, the option to buy and sell holidays, hybrid working, a flexible working environment, company pension, sick pay, life assurance, employee assist program and many more We are currently recruiting for a Solicitor (EL/PL – RTA) to develop and manage a mixed caseload of ELPL/RTA matters ensuring there is a focus on high value cases. In addition to managing a caseload, the role holder will do their own advocacy where appropriate. As an experienced EL/PL- RTA Solicitor you will : • Develop and manage a mixed caseload of ELPL & RTA cases. • Market and develop the Simpson Millar ELPL & RTA department. • Effectively and efficiently conduct cases on behalf of clients in accordance with the overall policies and objectives of the firm. • Develop local business to secure referrals. • Participate in the development, marketing, and success of the Department, to include developing the website business. • Develop referrals from other established Partners who already refer to Simpson Millar. • Conduct a high-volume caseload of matters on behalf of clients as directed and in accordance with the Firm’s file management and supervisory policy. • Maintain a diary and bring up entries in accordance with the firm procedures. • Work with a case management system, databases and normal office IT systems. • Detailed knowledge of relevant forms and procedures. • Comply with the firms Money Laundering Procedures and Data Protection Act. We are looking for someone who has: • A minimum of 4 years’ post qualification experience of running an ELPL/RTA caseload • Interest and experience in conducting advocacy. • Interest in and ability to develop links with potential referral organisations. • Good business development skills. • Good marketing skills. • Good knowledge and understanding of the work. • clients.
