Simpson Millar is hiring a Legal Risk Assessor to join our Injury practice area. This is a strategic, non-fee earning role where you’ll use your clinical negligence knowledge to assess case viability, support client onboarding, and influence commercial decisions across the firm.

You’ll play a pivotal part in deciding which new enquiries we pursue, using your legal expertise to guide our decision-making. It’s perfect for someone with strong hands-on experience in Clinical Negligence who’s ready to move away from managing a caseload – but still wants to make a meaningful impact.
What you’ll be doing:
- Assessing the legal and commercial merit of new Injury enquiries
- Reviewing accepted cases for quality and viability
- Supporting and coaching our Contact Centre team
- Liaising with legal teams to ensure consistent risk profiling
- Contributing to process improvements and commercial insights
What we’re looking for:
- Clinical Negligence case handling experience (essential)
- Fee Earner, Paralegal or Legal Exec background
- Commercial mindset with risk awareness
- Strong communicator and team player
- Familiar with digital case management systems
- Coaching experience a bonus, but not required
