Simpson Millar is seeking an experienced and strategic legal professional to lead our nationally recognised, Chambers-ranked Court of Protection – Property & Affairs team. This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee the operational, technical, and commercial performance of the department. You will be responsible for guiding a team of solicitors, legal executives, and paralegals, supporting their professional development and ensuring the delivery of high-quality client services aligned with departmental and firm-wide objectives.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Extensive Grade A experience in Court of Protection – Property & Affairs
- A proven track record of managing and developing legal teams
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide fee earners of varying experience levels
- A sound understanding of departmental KPIs and commercial targets
- The ability to contribute to strategic planning and implementation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both with clients and internal stakeholders
- A forward-thinking, adaptable mindset aligned with a tech-driven legal environment
