Location: London

PQE: 3–6 PQE

Firm: Leading US Law Firm

Working Pattern: Hybrid

I am working with a leading US law firm in London that is looking to appoint an Associate into its White Collar Crime / Corporate Financial Crime practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced investigations lawyer to join a highly regarded international platform and work on sophisticated, often cross-border matters for major corporates, financial institutions and senior individuals.

The Role

The successful candidate will work across a broad range of white collar crime, corporate investigations and financial crime matters, including complex and high‑profile investigations with both UK and international elements.

The practice advises clients on matters involving:

  • Corporate and internal investigations
  • Fraud and financial crime
  • Bribery and corruption
  • Regulatory investigations
  • Enforcement matters
  • Compliance and risk
  • Cross‑border investigations

The team also advises businesses on the increasingly important UK corporate crime landscape, including issues surrounding the failure to prevent fraud regime and wider corporate compliance obligations.

You will work closely with senior lawyers on complex investigations, interact directly with clients and have exposure to matters involving multiple jurisdictions and enforcement authorities.

Candidate Profile

The firm is looking for a lawyer at approximately 3–6 PQE with strong experience in White Collar Crime, Corporate Crime, Investigations and/or Corporate Financial Crime.

Candidates should ideally have:

  • Training and experience from a leading City, Magic Circle, US or international law firm
  • Strong corporate investigations experience
  • Exposure to financial crime matters
  • Experience dealing with complex, document‑heavy investigations
  • Excellent drafting and analytical skills
  • The ability to manage matters and work directly with clients
  • Experience of cross‑border investigations would be particularly valuable

The role requires a lawyer qualified in England & Wales, Australia or New Zealand.

The Opportunity

This is a strong opportunity for an investigations lawyer looking to join a major international platform while remaining part of a relatively focused London team.

The successful candidate will gain exposure to sophisticated corporate and financial crime matters, work closely with senior lawyers and benefit from the firm's wider international network.

The position should particularly appeal to lawyers currently within established White Collar, Investigations, Corporate Crime or Financial Crime teams who are looking for greater responsibility and international exposure.
