About Us:

I am working with a reputable and long-established law firm based in Mansfield, known for delivering exceptional legal services with a personal touch. The firms busy Private Client department is expanding, and is now seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Will Writer to join the friendly team.

The Role:

This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for someone looking to begin or develop their legal career. As a Trainee Will Writer, you will be supported and trained to draft Wills and assist in the provision of estate planning services for our clients. You will be working alongside experienced professionals in a supportive environment that values attention to detail, empathy, and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting Wills and related documents under supervision
• Conducting client interviews to take instructions (face-to-face and over the phone)
• Assisting with general administrative tasks within the department
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records
• Ensuring compliance with relevant legal and regulatory frameworks

What We\’re Looking For:

• A genuine interest in private client law, particularly Wills and estate planning
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Friendly, professional, and empathetic manner when dealing with clients
• The ability to work well as part of a busy team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new systems

Qualifications & Experience:

• No prior legal experience is required – full training will be provided
• A background in customer service, administration, or similar is desirable
• A legal qualification (e.g. Law degree or CILEX) is advantageous but not essential
