A well-established and highly regarded regional law firm with a strong presence across the Midlands is seeking to recruit an Employment Solicitor to join its expanding Employment team. The firm advises a diverse client base, including SMEs, owner-managed businesses and senior individuals, and is recognised for providing practical, commercially focused advice.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Employment Solicitor at Newly Qualified to mid-level to join a busy and supportive team. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced partners and senior solicitors, with scope to manage their own caseload (subject to experience) and develop strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Advising employers and employees on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters
- Managing Employment Tribunal claims, including drafting pleadings and conducting hearings (subject to experience)
- Drafting and advising on contracts of employment, service agreements and staff handbooks
- Advising on disciplinary, grievance and performance management processes
- Advising on redundancies, restructurings and TUPE matters
- Advising on settlement agreements and exits
- Supporting clients with day-to-day employment law queries
- Contributing to business development, marketing and client training initiatives.
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (NQ to circa 4 PQE)
- Experience in employment law gained during training or post-qualification
- Strong technical knowledge of employment law and procedure (commensurate with experience)
- Confident drafting and advisory skills
- Commercial, pragmatic and client-focused approach
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
