The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Restructuring & Insolvency Partner to join the firm’s Dispute Resolution team in London. The successful candidate will handle a broad mix of contentious and non contentious insolvency matters while supporting the continued growth of the practice. The role would suit an ambitious senior lawyer with an established client following and strong business development capabilities. There will also be opportunities to work closely with colleagues across Corporate, Commercial, Real Estate, and other practice areas on cross disciplinary matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on a wide range of restructuring and insolvency matters.
- Draft, negotiate, and manage complex insolvency and restructuring documentation.
- Provide strategic and commercially focused legal advice to insolvency practitioners, directors, lenders, creditors, and corporate clients.
- Support departmental fee earning objectives and contribute to the wider success of the firm through cross referrals and collaborative working.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships with a focus on client retention and business development.
- Supervise, mentor, and support junior lawyers and wider team members.
- Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with applicable regulatory and AML requirements.
- Promote effective matter management, financial control, billing, and time recording practices.
- Assist in the ongoing development and growth of the restructuring and insolvency practice.
- Participate in networking, marketing, and business development initiatives both within and outside normal working hours where appropriate.
Skills & Experience Required
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with significant experience in restructuring and insolvency matters (contentious and non contentious).
- Proven technical expertise and strong drafting skills.
- Established client following and demonstrable business development success.
- Strong commercial awareness and pragmatic approach to client service.
- Experience leading and developing teams, including mentoring and supervision responsibilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workloads effectively and prioritise competing demands.
- Proficiency with legal IT systems and case management platforms.
