An established London law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Property Litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative practice with a strong reputation for advising investors, developers, landlords, occupiers, managing agents, lenders and high-net-worth individuals across a broad spectrum of commercial and residential real estate disputes. The team is recognised for delivering pragmatic, commercially focused advice across complex and high-value matters.

The Role

You will manage your own varied caseload while working closely with partners on complex and strategic matters, advising clients throughout the lifecycle of property disputes. Typical work includes:

  • Commercial landlord and tenant disputes
  • Opposed and unopposed lease renewals under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954
  • Dilapidations and rent review disputes
  • Breach of covenant and forfeiture claims
  • Possession proceedings
  • Restrictive covenant, boundary and easement disputes
  • Residential leasehold matters including lease extensions, collective enfranchisement and Right to Manage claims
  • Service charge and ground rent disputes
  • Property insolvency and secured lending enforcement
  • Advising on disputes arising from acquisitions, asset management and property portfolios
  • Representing clients through litigation, tribunal proceedings, mediation and other forms of ADR

About You

We’re keen to speak with lawyers who have:

  • Around 6+ years' PQE in Property Litigation (guideline only)
  • Strong experience handling both commercial and residential property disputes
  • Excellent technical knowledge and commercial awareness
  • Experience managing matters independently from instruction through to resolution
  • Strong client relationship and communication skills
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to supervise junior lawyers where appropriate
  • Experience with mediation and alternative dispute resolution would be advantageous
