We’re working with a highly regarded regional firm that’s looking to bring on a Senior Associate in its Corporate team. The firm has strong roots in the Midlands and works with a mix of SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and national clients across sectors like tech, healthcare, and manufacturing.
You’ll be stepping into a team that’s actively growing, working alongside experienced partners on a good mix of M&A, private equity, group restructures, and general corporate advisory work. They’re known for a strong team culture and low turnover — a good option if you’re looking for stability, quality work, and genuine progression.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing your own caseload of corporate transactions (primarily M&A and investment deals)
- Drafting and negotiating core documents (SPAs, shareholder agreements, investment docs, etc.)
- Advising clients on company law, structuring, and general governance matters
- Supporting more complex deals led by partners
- Mentoring junior lawyers and working closely with other teams (property, employment, commercial)
- Getting involved in business development, but without sales targets
What they’re looking for:
- Around 5+ years\’ PQE in corporate law (flexible depending on experience)
- Solid background in M&A and general corporate work
- Someone commercially minded, approachable, and confident running transactions
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members is a bonus
