An established and highly regarded regional law firm is seeking an ambitious Commercial / Civil Litigation Solicitor to join its expanding Dispute Resolution team. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with 2+ years' PQE to develop their career within a supportive and collaborative environment, working on a varied and high-quality caseload for both individual and business clients.
The firm has a longstanding reputation for delivering practical, client-focused legal advice and prides itself on maintaining strong relationships with clients and the local business community.
The Role
The successful candidate will manage a broad caseload of commercial and civil litigation matters, including:
- Commercial disputes
- Contract disputes
- Property litigation (commercial and residential)
- Debt recovery matters
- Contentious probate
- Insolvency-related disputes
- Employment-related disputes
- General civil litigation matters
You will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced litigators on more complex and high-value matters while also developing your own caseload and client relationships. Advocacy experience and confidence in attending hearings would be advantageous but is not essential.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years' PQE in litigation
- Have experience managing a varied civil and/or commercial litigation caseload
- Possess strong drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills
- Demonstrate excellent client care and communication skills
- Be commercially aware and able to provide practical advice
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Be organised, proactive and capable of managing competing deadlines
- Experience in mediation, ADR, contentious probate or property litigation would be advantageous but is not essential.
