An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled Private Family Paralegal to join a reputable and well-established private client law firm based in Manchester. This is a rewarding and fast-paced role, ideally suited to a paralegal with demonstrable experience in divorce, financial remedies, and prenuptial agreements.
The successful candidate will support senior fee earners and partners on a high-quality caseload of family matters involving HNW clients, offering exposure to both complex and sensitive issues.
Key Responsibilities:- Assisting with and managing a varied caseload of private family matters including:
- Divorce proceedings
- Financial remedy applications
- Prenuptial and postnuptial agreements
- Preparing and drafting court documents, bundles, witness statements, and correspondence
- Conducting legal research and liaising with clients, counsel, and third parties
- Supporting fee earners in the day-to-day progression of files and attending client meetings
- Maintaining accurate case management and adhering to deadlines
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a paralegal in a family law setting
- Strong working knowledge of divorce law, financial remedy proceedings, and prenups
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A high level of discretion and professionalism when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a close-knit team
