A thriving and expanding Private Client team is seeking an experienced lawyer to take over an existing caseload due to a planned retirement in March. The team is continuing to grow rapidly, fuelled by high-quality work and strong referrals, particularly in matters involving inheritance tax and complex estate planning.
We are looking for a Private Client Solicitor who is confident running their own files and technically strong across a range of matters. Minimum one year's PQE is preferred, though applications are welcomed from those with significantly more experience, up to senior or partnership level. Flexible working arrangements are available, including part-time hours, flexible start times and partial home working. The role can be based primarily in Sunderland or Newcastle.
The Role Includes:
- Wills and estate planning
- Probate and estate administration
- Court of Protection matters
- Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Advising elderly and vulnerable clients
- Exposure to contested estates if desired
The position offers autonomy and scope to develop your caseload in areas that interest you most, supported by a strong and collaborative team. Charge-out rates are aligned with large commercial firms, ensuring a fair and rewarding workload without high volume pressures. No six-minute time recording.
