Job Description
Job Title: NQ – 5 Years PQE Private Client Solicitor
Salary: Dependent on experience
Location: Chester
Purpose of the Role
- To manage the full range of private client matters, including Wills, Powers of Attorney, Estate Administrations, and Trusts, while delivering a profitable contribution to the team.
- To support the ongoing development of the practice in line with strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct client matters with accuracy, professionalism, and in line with regulatory and quality standards (Lexcel and SRA Code of Conduct).
- Generate fee income and manage time recording, work in progress, billing, and cash collection in accordance with agreed targets.
- Actively participate in business development initiatives to grow the client base and strengthen the team’s profile.
- Provide supervision and support to colleagues, including covering fee-earning work during absences or holidays.
- Supervise other fee earners where required.
- Take part in marketing and networking activities at team, office, or wider professional levels.
- Deliver excellent client care by meeting clients in person and over the telephone, providing clear, supportive, and professional advice.
- Draft and manage correspondence and documents through the case management system.
- Ensure efficient organisation of both electronic and paper files, including opening, closing, storing, and retrieving client files in accordance with office procedures.
- Attend and contribute to team meetings.
- Develop new work opportunities from existing and prospective clients, while maintaining and nurturing a strong network of professional contacts and referrers.
- Maintain strong IT and communication skills, with the ability to use case management systems, email, internet research tools, and telephony systems effectively.
