An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Negligence Solicitor with 0-2 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) to join an award-winning, Legal 500 recognised firm. Role Overview: As a NQ Clinical Negligence Solicitor, you will work closely with senior colleagues and manage a diverse caseload of multi-track clinical negligence cases. The role offers the perfect balance of autonomy and mentorship, enabling you to develop your expertise and progress in this rewarding area of law.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with senior solicitors and Law Society panel members on complex cases.
- Managing a varied caseload of multi-track clinical negligence matters.
- Utilising the firm's case management system to maintain accurate records and documents for each client.
- Accurately documenting work undertaken and recording time on each file.
- Ensuring compliance with file management and client confidentiality.
- Providing clients with clear, professional legal advice on their clinical negligence cases.
- Instructing Counsel and experts as required to enhance case strategy and representation.
- Adhering to strict Court and tribunal deadlines and ensuring case progression.
- Representing clients in tribunals and Court hearings when required.
- Keeping clients updated on the progress of their cases.
Key Skills and Experience:
- NQ-2 years PQE (experience in Clinical Negligence is preferable but open to candidates who have a keen interest and want to retrain into this area).
- Must have done a seat in Clinical Negligence to retrain into this area.
- A collaborative team player, with the ability to work independently and manage your own caseload.
- Strong understanding of client confidentiality and sensitive case management.
- Comfortable working in a paperless, digital environment.
- Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and case management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
