I'm partnered with a well-established and highly respected law firm in Chatham that is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join its growing Private Client department. This position offers a varied and engaging caseload, a supportive working environment, and strong opportunities for professional development.
The Opportunity
You will be working within a successful, well-structured team handling a full range of private client matters, including:
- Estate and care fees planning
- Will drafting
- Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Court of Protection work
- Trusts and trust administration
- Probate and estate administration
- Inheritance tax planning
- Charity-related matters
- Deputyships
STEP membership is desirable but not essential. The firm actively supports training and is happy to consider candidates currently studying toward STEP.
Candidate Profile
The firm is seeking a solicitor with consistent experience across wills, trusts, estates, and tax issues. You should be confident handling your own caseload with minimal supervision and able to demonstrate:
- Strong technical competence across all areas of private client law
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- The ability to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines
- A professional, organised, and proactive approach
