A well-established and growing law firm based in Manchester is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Accounts Graduate to join its finance team. The Role
The Legal Accounts Graduate will support the firm’s accounts department with day-to-day financial operations, working closely with experienced legal accounts professionals. Full training will be provided, making this role ideal for a graduate with a strong interest in finance, accounting, or legal operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the day-to-day running of the legal accounts function
- Processing client and office account transactions in accordance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules
- Supporting billing processes, including raising invoices and posting receipts
- Assisting with bank reconciliations and payment processing
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring data integrity
- Supporting month-end and year-end financial procedures
- Liaising with fee earners and support staff regarding billing and financial queries
- Assisting with audits and compliance-related tasks
- Undertaking general administrative duties within the accounts team as required
Skills and Experience
- A recent graduate with a degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related discipline (preferred but not essential)
- Strong numerical ability and attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Professional, reliable, and eager to learn
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (desirable)
