A long-established regional law firm with multiple local offices is seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Manager to join its Malmesbury office. This is a key role responsible for safeguarding the firm by identifying, assessing, and managing legal, regulatory, and operational risks, while ensuring ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the firm's risk and compliance framework
- Ensure compliance with SRA regulations, AML requirements, and internal policies
- Act as a key point of contact for regulatory and compliance matters
- Manage and develop AML, data protection, complaints, and risk management procedures
- Conduct audits, risk assessments, and internal reviews
- Provide guidance and training to partners and staff on compliance obligations
- Support senior management with regulatory reporting and risk strategy
Experience Required:
- Proven experience in a risk and/or compliance role within a law firm or professional services environment
- Strong working knowledge of SRA regulations and AML frameworks
