M&A Tax Manager, Independent London Firm

Are you a corporate tax professional ready to make the move into deals work? Or already working in transaction tax and looking for a platform where you can take on real responsibility and make a genuine impact?

We're working with a well-regarded, independently owned London firm that is actively growing its Transaction Tax practice. They're looking for an M&A Tax Manager to join a team that works across a broad range of domestic and cross-border deals, advising private equity funds, corporates, search funds and other financial investors on the full deal lifecycle.

Day to day you'll be leading transaction tax workstreams, advising on tax due diligence, deal structuring and the tax aspects of acquisitions, disposals and refinancing's. You'll review SPAs, warranties, indemnities and tax covenants, input on financial models, and manage international tax teams on cross-border transactions whilst being the main contact for clients throughout the process.

Alongside the deal work there's a real people element, coaching junior colleagues, contributing to process improvement and working closely with the firm's Transaction Services and Deal Advisory teams to deliver joined-up advice.

What They're Looking For

  • CTA, ACA, ACCA or ATT qualified with three or more years of post-qualified experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation and awareness of international tax concepts
  • Proven experience working on transactions or a strong corporate tax background with clear ambition to move into deals
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex tax issues clearly and pragmatically

Why This Role

The firm is on a clear growth trajectory with genuine ambition to become a leading independent advisory practice. This is a hire with momentum behind it you'd be joining at a point where the team is expanding and the opportunity to shape your own path is real.

The culture is collaborative and people focused, with a strong benefits package including a birthday day off, in-house mentoring and a range of lifestyle, health and development perks.
