A specialist and growing property litigation practice is seeking a technically strong Associate to join its established team.
This position would suit a Associate or Senior Associate with 3–7 years’ PQE who has hands-on experience in residential leasehold and landlord and tenant litigation.
You will manage your own caseload with minimal supervision while supporting senior lawyers on more complex and high-value matters.
The practice acts for landlords and managing agents across substantial property portfolios, providing exposure to both volume instructions and technically challenging disputes.
Managing medium to high-value property litigation matters.
Handling service charge disputes, breaches of covenant and forfeiture matters.
Advising on lease interpretation and property-management issues.
Drafting pleadings, witness statements and legal advice.
Representing clients in the First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber).
Developing advocacy experience and assuming greater responsibility for hearings.
Approximately 3–7 years’ PQE in property litigation however if you are a higher PQE, there is scope.
Experience handling service charge and lease interpretation disputes.
The ability to manage files independently with limited supervision.
Experience involving the Building Safety Act, Remediation Orders, Remediation Contribution Orders and recent leasehold reform legislation would be advantageous.
