About the Role

The firm is seeking an organised, proactive, and team‐oriented Legal Administrator to join its Intellectual Property Litigation team. The role sits within a team supporting senior lawyers and paralegals. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with prior litigation experience who is looking to develop their career within a specialist IP disputes practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Intellectual Property Litigation team, including assisting senior lawyers with the coordination and supervision of the paralegal team.
  • Manage the paralegal team's day‐to‐day workload, including scheduling, prioritisation, and responding to routine queries.
  • Review correspondence and court documents prepared by paralegals prior to senior lawyer approval.
  • Assist with the preparation of court bundles and hearing materials, including pagination, redaction, and electronic linking.
  • Proofread legal documents, format pleadings, engross correspondence, and ensure document accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate diary management for key dates, deadlines, and client meetings.
  • Manage the receipt of licence fees, damages, and costs, and coordinate payments to clients.
  • Prepare monthly billing for fees and disbursements.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients and defendants, handling calls, obtaining information, and providing general updates.
  • Undertake document retrievals or hand deliveries when required, including occasional travel outside the office.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum 12 months' experience working within a fast‐paced litigation team in a legal or professional services environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Strong administrative, organisational, and time‐management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Professional, sensitive verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Capacity to work independently, demonstrating initiative and sound problem‐solving skills.
