Job Description

Job Title: General Litigation Solicitor \\nSalary: Circa up to £65K \\nHours: Full Time. On site is preferred for unqualified – 2 PQE. \\nLocation: Cheltenham \\n\\nThe firm: \\nEstablished high street firm operating on a large scale with high net worth clients across the UK and overseas.

This firm does not hire often, they have extremely low staff turnover which is a great representation of the culture and environment they have built over the years. Most staff started as trainees and are now senior solicitors, partners or shareholders. While the firm offers flexibility and can allow you to work from home, they prefer their staff to be in the office and feel a part of the team and part of their collaborative environment.

Supporting and celebrating each other. It is recommended that unqualified to newer qualified candidates are present in the office more so than not. \\n\\nPrimary focus of the team: \\n* Handling a wide range of general civil and commercial litigation matters work with a variety of clients, from national companies to regional and local businesses, providing expert advice.

Everyday brings a new challenge and offers something different. \\n* Disputes, including company/partnership disagreements, professional negligence claims, and commercial or contractual issues. \\n* Assist clients in preventing future debt recovery issues\\n* Advise on and manage unfair dismissal, wrongful dismissal, unlawful deductions, discrimination, and termination cases.\\n* Represent clients in Employment Tribunal proceedings and handle dispute resolution for employment-related issues.\\n* Draft and review employment contracts, director service agreements, and policies and handbooks.\\n\\nExperience Required:\\n* Qualified solicitor or senior fee earner, with solid background in civil and commercial litigation.\\n* Confident and commercially driven individual eager to handle complex, high-value work.\\n* Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail are essential.\\n* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.\\n* No existing client following required, but business development skills are important.
