The Role
You will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters, ensuring transactions are progressed efficiently while maintaining excellent levels of client care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a full caseload of residential property transactions from instruction to post-completion.
- Providing clear, professional advice and regular updates to clients throughout the conveyancing process.
- Preparing contracts and legal documentation.
- Ordering and reviewing searches.
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, solicitors and other third parties.
- Handling exchanges, completions and all associated post-completion formalities, including SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications.
- Responding promptly to enquiries and progressing matters efficiently.
- Developing strong working relationships with local estate agents and introducers.
- Identifying opportunities to refer clients to other legal services where appropriate.
- Contributing to business development and supporting the continued growth of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a high standard of legal advice and client service.
- Generate new business and build long-term client relationships.
- Meet agreed fee income and performance targets.
- Keep up to date with changes in conveyancing legislation, regulations and best practice.
- Maintain compliance with internal quality standards, regulatory requirements and risk management procedures.
- Accurately record time and manage files using the firm's case management system.
- Ensure effective financial management of files, including billing and the collection of monies on account.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the wider success of the property team.

Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5:15pm (36.25 hours per week)

- Strong knowledge of the residential conveyancing process.

- Understanding of anti-money laundering regulations and Solicitors Accounts Rules.
